In March of 2017, we launched our first version of Connect in Structural. Initially, Connect gave users the ability to poll their co-workers and employees. Companies and teams are eager to gather data from their people — capturing data like employee sentiment, feedback from an event, or even results from a chili cook-off. Polling different groups in an organization has proven to be a meaningful feature, and we were so excited for polls to be the first feature in our new vision for Structural Connect.
We’ve always had high aspirations for Connect’s ability to drive meaningful connections and greater communication across an organization! So, today, we are very excited to announce the core feature of Connect: Posts.
What Are Posts?
Posting is the new method of sharing on Connect. A post is comprised of text and a number of different optional attachments, allowing those with appropriate permissions to post text, images, polls, or recognize a co-worker. Also, you can select the audience to receive your post, and depending on your permission rights, you can send to everyone, all reports, or create a custom audience. Since you want to get this right, your Structural customer success team works with you to ensure your permissions are set in a way that matches how your organization communicates.

Make sure your team is recognized when they do something awesome! You can attach an employee profile to a Structural post to easily recognize different members of your team across the company or a specific team. Let the sales team know when your direct report hits their sales goal, praise an associate for going above and beyond, or wish a co-worker Happy Birthday through Structural. Recognizing a single employee could end up encouraging your whole team.
Poll Your Team
Polling is a simple, fast, and effective way to gather data from your people. Whether it’s employee sentiment, employee data, or just a fun question, attaching a poll will help you get instant feedback from your team or organization. The data you receive could reveal the potential of an employee or identify problems within your team, giving you more visibility. Polling is so flexible you can use your creativity, and start getting feedback from your team today!
Share Content with Your Team
You are also able to send a post with an image, link, or plain text to share content, make announcements, or communicate broadly with your company. Attach images from a company outing, share an interesting article, or start sending a Friday note to the company! We really want our users to make the feature their own!
